Jordi Construct was entrusted with the extensive refurbishment of six essential buildings at the Marrangaroo Barracks, focusing on improving both their structural integrity and functionality.
The refurbishment of Buildings D113, D114, and D115 included the complete replacement of box gutters and downpipes, ensuring effective water management across all structures. Additionally, both the internal and external surfaces of these buildings were thoroughly primed and repainted, providing a refreshed appearance and enhanced protection against the elements.
For Building D116, similar attention was given to the replacement of box gutters and downpipes, coupled with a comprehensive priming and repainting of all surfaces. Furthermore, Jordi Construct installed new emergency and exit lighting throughout the building, ensuring full compliance with MFPE (Maintenance of Fire Protection Equipment) and NCC (National Construction Code) standards, significantly improving safety and accessibility.
Building D118 underwent a series of targeted upgrades, starting with the replacement of floor finishes and light fittings across the entire building. The internal surfaces were carefully primed and repainted, while rotting timberwork in the entry doors and fascia was replaced to restore structural integrity. Handrails were installed at the loading dock and both ends of the dock area, meeting BCA (Building Code of Australia), MFPE, and NCC standards. The building’s external distribution board was also replaced, further enhancing its operational reliability.
Finally, in Building D119, Jordi Construct replaced the Kliplok roof sheeting, including the guttering and downpipes, to secure the building’s weatherproofing. All external surfaces were primed and repainted, rejuvenating the building’s exterior while safeguarding it against future wear and tear.
