This project involved the heritage restoration of the Greenway Wall, a part of the original 1818 Macquarie Lighthouse designed by convict architect Francis Greenway.
The restoration returned the wall to its original structure, reinstating quartz-rich sandstone sourced from Appin, chosen to match the original material. The restoration preserved and enhanced this culturally important landmark for public appreciation and future generations.
Included in the works was a new brass plaque ground mounted, framed by deco granite and engraved sandstone, a new scenery seating area with carved sandstone and new informative signage.
